Early life and background
Priyanshu Yadav—also referred to as Priyanshu Yaduvanshi and popularly known as Pranshu—was born in 2007 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He grew up in Ujjain and attended Ujjain Public School. At the time of his death he was in the 10th standard. He was the only child of his parents; his father is Rajendra Yadav and his mother is Preeti Yadav, who worked as a medical representative. After his parents divorced in 2019, he lived with his mother.

Pranshu was raised in a Hindu household and was described as a devotee of Lord Krishna. He was open about his sexual identity and identified as queer; he had told his mother about being attracted to both boys and girls while he was in ninth grade.

Career
Pranshu built a public profile as a social media influencer who created makeup tutorial videos. He began posting this content in 2021 while still a school student. His Instagram page, which used the handle Glamitupwithpranshu, showcased his makeup looks and tutorials and drew a following; by 2023 he had amassed more than 25,000 followers on Instagram.

His work included promotional partnerships with makeup brands and online classes. He cited makeup artists he admired as inspirations for pursuing a career in makeup artistry. His on‑platform content also included festival looks, such as a Diwali video in which he wore a saree.

Public profile
Physically, Pranshu was approximately 173 cm tall (about 5'8") and weighed around 50 kg (110 lbs). He had black eyes and black hair, and he had a tattoo on his upper chest.

As a young transgender and queer creator, he was visible within India’s LGBTQ+ community and used his platform to express his identity. Death and aftermath
Pranshu died on 21 November 2023 in Ujjain. He was 16 years old. The cause of death was suicide by hanging. Reports indicate he used his mother’s dupatta to take his life at home while he was still a student in the 10th standard.

Some activists and public figures commented on the broader safety and harassment concerns LGBTQ+ people face on social platforms. His mother publicly expressed pride in him and also conveyed the loneliness she felt after losing her only child.
