Early life and background

Priya Ahuja Rajda was born on 16 October 1984 in Delhi, India. Raised in a Punjabi family, she completed her school education at Kendriya Vidyalaya Gole Market and went on to study fashion design at J D Institute of Fashion Technology, graduating with a degree in the subject. She later relocated from Delhi to Mumbai to pursue opportunities in entertainment and fashion.

Career

Priya began her screen career with television work in 2008. Her early TV appearances included a role in Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah, and she went on to appear in episodic series such as C.I.D. and Adaalat. Her best-known television role came when she played reporter Rita Shrivastav for Kal Tak News in the long-running Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a part that brought her wide recognition.
