Priyanka Arul Mohan was born on 20 November 1995 in Bangalore (now Bengaluru), Karnataka. She spent her early schooling years in Chennai and later completed a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Don Bosco Institute of Technology in Bengaluru. Her father, Arul Mohan, is a businessman and her mother, Krishna Mohan, is a homemaker. Priyanka comes from a mixed regional background: her father is Tamilian and her mother is Kannadiga.

Career

Priyanka transitioned into acting after working in theatre. She made her film debut in 2019, appearing in the Kannada anthology Ondh Kathe Hella as Adhiti. That same year she entered Telugu cinema with a role as Priya in Nani’s Gang Leader, a performance that led to a SIIMA nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu.

Her first major Tamil release was Doctor (2021), in which she played Padmini (Mini). The film increased her visibility in Tamil cinema and she was recognized with the SIIMA award for Best Female Debut – Tamil in 2022 for her work in Doctor.

Following those early successes she continued to build a regional filmography with roles in projects such as Sreekaram (2021) in Telugu and Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022) in Tamil.
