Radhika was born on 11 November 1986 in Mangalore, Karnataka. She grew up in the coastal Tulunadu region and is Indian by nationality. Radhika’s family includes her father, Devraj, and a brother, Raviraj, who has worked as an executive producer. She is commonly known simply as Radhika or by the nickname Kutty Radhika.

Radhika began her film career as a teenager, making her debut in Kannada cinema in 2002. Her first solo release that year, Ninagagi, was among the year’s biggest hits and helped establish her presence in Sandalwood. Across the early 2000s she worked in several South Indian film industries: Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Her early credits include the Tamil film Iyarkai (2003) and the Telugu film Bhadradri Ramudu (2004).
