Rahul Prakash Kol was born on 4 August 1983 in Patehara in Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh. Raised in a family with political connections, his father Pakauri Lal Kol is also active in politics. Rahul completed legal studies and earned a Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB) in 2015 from Maa Khandwari Vidhi Mahavidyalaya in Chahniya, Chandauli, a college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi.
