Raksha Khadse was born Priyanka Jagdish Patil on 13 May 1987 in Khetia, Madhya Pradesh. Raised in a family where her father worked as a farmer, she later moved into public life in Maharashtra. Her education includes courses at K.R.T. Arts, B.H. Commerce & A.M. Science College in Nashik and a Bachelor of Computer Science completed in 2010; she also attended Shrimati G.G. Khadse Mahavidhyalay in Muktainagar. Before entering formal politics she was involved with a CBSE school in Muktainagar and has said she pursued a course in interior designing prior to marriage.

Career

Khadse’s political career began at the local level. In September 2010 she was elected sarpanch of Kothali village in Jalgaon district. Two years later she moved to district-level governance when she became chairperson of the Health, Education and Sports Committee of the Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon.

Her first national-level victory came in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections when she contested from the Raver constituency in Maharashtra and won by a large margin. At that time she was among the youngest members of the 16th Lok Sabha. She retained the Raver seat in the 2019 general election and was elected again in 2024, making it a third successive term representing the constituency.

Khadse is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and has taken part in international parliamentary gatherings; in March 2022 she attended the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Bali, Indonesia.
