Ram Awana was born on 1 March 1971 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. He grew up in Noida and pursued formal training in dramatic arts after completing his undergraduate studies. He attended GDC College in Noida and went on to the Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts in Lucknow, where he completed postgraduate studies in dramatic arts and was awarded a gold medal for his work.
