Rashmika Mandanna was born on 5 April 1996 in Virajpet (Virajapete), Kodagu, Karnataka. Raised in a middle-class family, she attended Coorg Public School in Kodagu and later studied at the Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts. For higher education she enrolled at MS Ramaiah College of Arts Science & Commerce in Bengaluru and completed a graduation that covered psychology, journalism and English literature. She grew up speaking to her interests in performance and began exploring modelling during her late teens.

Career

Rashmika began her public career after winning the Clean & Clear Fresh Face contest in 2014, which led to work as a brand ambassador and opened modelling opportunities. Her first film role came in Kannada cinema with Kirik Party (2016). The visibility from that debut led to more offers in Kannada, including roles in Anjani Putra and Chamak, both of which contributed to her early standing in regional film industries.
