Ravi Kiran was born on 19 September 1989 in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, and grew up in the same town. He completed a polytechnic education at the Government Polytechnic College in Narsipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. His family includes a retired army officer father, a mother who worked as an architect, two sisters (one named Ramya) and a brother.

Career

Ravi Kiran began working in television in the early 2000s. His first on‑screen appearance came in 2002 with the serial Nijam. Over the years he has appeared in a number of Telugu serials including Abishekam, Chinna Kodalu, Nuvvu Vasthavani, Ashta Chemma and supporting roles in Aparadhi, Alaukika and Nammaleni Nijalu. He transitioned into hosting and presenting, starting as a video jockey on the music program Something Special alongside Lasya Manjunath and later working as a radio jockey on an FM channel.
