Rekha Naik was born on 19 February 1974 in Hyderabad, Telangana. She grew up in Hyderabad and completed her schooling at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. She graduated from Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya and later earned a master’s degree in sociology from Osmania University. Rekha also holds an LLB from Padala Ramareddy Law College in Hyderabad.

Career
Rekha Naik’s political career has included both independent and party-affiliated efforts. She first stood as an independent candidate in the 2009 Assembly elections but did not win. In 2014 she joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) and successfully contested the Assembly election from the Khanapur constituency.

During her tenure in the Telangana Legislature, Rekha chaired the Committee on Welfare of Women, Children, Disabled and Old Aged from 2016 to 2018.
