Early life and background

Career

Rhythm’s public profile developed through social media and stage work. She began sharing dance clips and lip-sync videos on Instagram in 2022, using the handle Pretty Pastry. Around the same time she became involved with theatre: she joined the theatre group The Act Guru (TAG) in New Delhi, performed in multiple stage productions, and took on hosting duties for some of the group’s shows. Public profile

In April 2023 a video of Rhythm wearing a bikini on a Delhi Metro train spread widely across social platforms, bringing her sudden national attention. She confirmed on Instagram that she was the person in the video and later addressed questions about her choice of dress, asserting it was her personal freedom and not a stunt to seek publicity. She said her family and neighbours disapproved of her dressing style. The incident prompted a public statement from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation emphasizing expected decorum on public transport and noting that issues of clothing are personal and should be self-regulated by passengers.
