Early life and background

Rishabh Sawhney was raised in New Delhi and completed his schooling at Birla Vidya Niketan in the city. He went on to study civil engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Technology degree between 2010 and 2014. Sawhney has described a dramatic personal transformation during his college years: after entering higher education significantly overweight, he adopted new habits, began walking regularly and changed his eating patterns, and lost a substantial amount of weight over the course of his first year.

Sawhney began his professional life as a model. He competed in men’s physique contests and walked runways for designers such as Shantanu and Nikhil.
