Ritesh Pandey was born on 14 May 1991 in Sasaram, Bihar. He grew up in a family that later moved to Varanasi, where his father worked as a school teacher. Pandey completed his schooling with strong marks in the science stream and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music (BMus) from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth University in Varanasi.

From an early age he showed an interest in music and performing. While his parents initially hoped he would follow a more conventional academic route, Pandey chose to pursue singing.
