Early life and background

Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed was born on 28 September 1994 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Raised in Chennai, he attended Nirmala Matha Convent Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore before pursuing higher studies in engineering and audio technology. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering and completed a diploma in audio engineering at KM College of Music & Technology in Chennai.

Career

Riyasdeen built his career in the audio and music-technology space, combining formal training with hands-on studio and live experience. While studying for his audio diploma he worked part time as a recording engineer at Shimmr Studios. After completing his diploma he undertook a full-time internship as an assistant audio engineer at the Sri Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Concert Hall in Chennai.

In 2017 he joined KM Music Conservatory as a full-time assistant audio engineer and also worked freelance with AM Studio, Chennai. Over the next years he expanded his freelance work across studio and live-sound roles. In 2018 he worked as a freelancer for Apple’s iTunes programme and earned certification to master tracks for iTunes. He has also completed certifications and licensing courses from a range of professional audio manufacturers and organisations, including Shure, Studer, Waves Audio, Audinate, Adamson Systems Engineering and Solid State Logic.
