Anmol Sood, known professionally as RJ Anmol, was born on 27 January 1980 in New Delhi, India. He grew up in the city and attended Ahlcon Public School in Mayur Vihar before completing higher studies at the Times School of Marketing in Delhi. He holds a master’s degree in marketing and advertising. His family includes his parents Ajay and Jyoti Sood and a sister, Ankita Sood.

Career

Anmol built his career in radio, where he established a reputation for shows that celebrated retro music. One of his notable programmes, Purani Jeans — Anmol Ke Saath, played a part in helping Radio Mirchi reach the top position among radio channels in Mumbai.
