Early life and background
Roberto Firmino Barbosa de Oliveira was born on 2 October 1991 in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil. Raised in a working-class family, his upbringing involved helping his father, who sold bottled water. From a very young age Firmino became passionate about football, regularly sneaking out to play as a child.
