Rochelle Maria Rao was born on 25 November 1988 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Raised in a family with Telugu-German and Anglo-Indian roots, she completed a BSc in Electronic Media at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai. Her parents are Dr. N V Rao and Wendy Rao.
