Early life and background

Rohit Suresh Saraf was born on 8 December 1996 in Kathmandu, Nepal, and was raised in Mumbai. He attended St. Francis D'Assisi High School in Mumbai and went on to study at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, where he completed his graduation. From a young age he took part in school cultural programs and developed an interest in performing arts. He is trained in Kathak and counts travelling, photography, painting, sketching and reading among his hobbies.

Career

Saraf entered the entertainment world as a child and teenager on television. One of his earliest credited TV roles was Sahil in the Channel V drama Best Friends Forever (2012). He continued working on television, portraying Bunty in the Life OK serial Ek Boond Ishq in 2014 and appearing as Gyaan in the MTV India anthology series MTV Big F in 2015.

His film debut came in 2016 with a role in the Bollywood feature Dear Zindagi, where he was credited as Kiddo. Saraf has since worked in both Indian and international projects. In 2017 he played Amir in the Norwegian film What Will People Say, a film that later received recognition as Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards. He appeared in the Bollywood films Hichki (2018) as Akshay and The Sky Is Pink (2019) as Ishaan Chaudhary.

In 2020 Saraf reached streaming audiences when he co-starred with Prajakta Koli in the Netflix series Mismatched. Beyond film and television, he has been featured in multiple advertising campaigns and commercials for brands including KFC, Disney Channel and Sunfeast Dark Fantasy Chocolate.
