Ruchir Modi was born on 9 September 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in the city where his family is based, he attended the American School of Bombay before moving to the American School in London for the later years of his schooling. He completed a bachelor's degree in Global Business Management from Regent's University London.

Career

Ruchir has pursued a business-oriented career since his education. Early in his formative years abroad he undertook an internship at the House of Commons in London in 2013, where he worked with a Member of Parliament. Shortly after finishing university he founded Modi Ventures in 2014 and serves as its chief executive.

Over the following years he took on a range of corporate responsibilities. In 2016 he was appointed Brand Head India of Fashion TV and that same year held a director role at Modicare Ltd, part of the broader KK Modi Group, which operates across different sectors including network marketing, education and retail. He also joined Godfrey Phillips India Ltd. as a director on 19 March 2016.

Ruchir has been involved in sports administration at the district level, serving as President of the Rajasthan Cricket Association in the Alwar district from 2016 through 2020. He and his sister have business interests in hospitality as directors at Peyotito Restaurant.
