Early life and background

Rutuja Shinde was born on 18 July 1991 in Pune, Maharashtra. Raised in Pune, she completed her graduation there before relocating to Mumbai to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She comes from a family that includes a sister, Shivani Shinde, who is a chef; other parental and sibling details are not publicly listed.

Career

Shinde began in the industry as a model, taking part in runway shows, print assignments and television commercials for various brands. Early on she also worked behind the camera as an assistant director, an experience that preceded her shift into acting.

Her screen debut came with the Hindi film Humne Jeena Seekh Liya (2007), in which she played the character Mohini. She later appeared in the Marathi film Online Binline (2015) as Kimaya.
