Early life and background

Sadda M Hussain, born Shaik Saddam Hussain, hails from Allagadda in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. His birthday falls on 27 February and he was raised in a family that includes his father, Hussain Saheb, and two brothers, Sadak Hussain and Jakeer Hussain Shaik. He completed his schooling at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Allagadda and went on to attend Pragna Junior College in the same town. He holds a bachelor’s degree and later moved to Hyderabad after finishing college to pursue a career in acting.

Career

Hussain began performing in stage skits and short films before breaking into television. Early screen appearances include short films such as Don Raja Don and I2, both released in 2015. He made his television debut as a stand-up performer on the show Patas, which aired on 20 February 2015 and provided the first significant boost to his public profile.

Following Patas, Hussain continued to work across Telugu-language entertainment, appearing on other comedy reality shows and sketch formats. He was part of the Zee Telugu show Adhirindhi in 2020 and later joined the cast of the long-running comedy series Jabardasth in 2023. His film debut came in 2016 with the Telugu film Ramudu Manchi Baludu, and he has gone on to take supporting roles in Telugu cinema, including a role as Satti Pandu in the 2022 film Ginna.

In addition to acting, Hussain has taken on creative projects behind the camera. In September 2022 he directed a music video titled Ethara Janda Janasena, released as a tribute to actor and politician Pawan Kalyan. He also expanded into digital streaming with a role as Yakub in the Hotstar Specials Telugu web series Save the Tigers in 2023.

Physically, Hussain is listed at approximately 175 cm (5 ft 8 in) in height and around 55 kg (120 lbs) in weight, with black hair and black eyes. He follows a non-vegetarian diet and practices Islam. Hussain keeps elements of his personal life public: he is unmarried, and he often shares moments with his pet American Bully dog, Gabbar, on social media.

Hussain has received industry recognition for his work on television. Among his awards are the Zee Telugu Kutumbam Awards’ Sensational Entertainer of the Year in 2020 and Best Entertainer of the Year in 2022. Hussain has spoken about early struggles while trying to establish himself in Hyderabad. One recounted episode describes traveling to the city with very limited funds, encountering struggling actors, and an incident on a return train journey that he says taught him resilience and resourcefulness.

In late 2022, reports surfaced of a disagreement between Hussain and fellow comedian Hyper Aadi over material used in comedy skits. The comedians later appeared together during New Year’s celebrations and addressed reports of a rift, with public interactions suggesting the matter did not persist.
