Early life and background
Sahdev Dirdo was born in 2007 and grew up in Urmapal, a village in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. He spent his early school years at Balak Ashram School in Sukma and, as of 2021, was studying in class 7. Raised in a tribal area and from a family with modest means, Sahdev learned both Gondi and Hindi and developed an early interest in music.

Career
Sahdev rose to public attention when a recording of him singing “Bachpan Ka Pyar Mera Bhool Nahi Jana Re” at a school Independence Day event was posted online and later went viral in July 2021. That viral moment led to a high-profile collaboration: the rapper Badshah invited Sahdev to Chandigarh and featured him in a revamped version of the song released in August 2021. The episode marked Sahdev’s debut in a recorded musical release and significantly broadened his audience.

Following the viral success and his work with Badshah, Sahdev received recognition from public figures in Chhattisgarh. The state’s chief minister acknowledged his achievement and presented him with a television and a music system. Badshah also offered to support Sahdev’s further education.

Television appearances followed the online fame. In 2021 Sahdev appeared on the singing reality show Indian Idol (season 12) in a guest role, showcasing the way his online breakthrough opened doors to mainstream platforms. He is managed by Barcode Entertainment, a marketing agency that has handled aspects of his public activities.

Public profile
Sahdev is known online by nicknames such as Raju and Viralboy and maintains a presence on social platforms including Instagram and YouTube. He often shares casual content such as short videos and reels, and his social posts include images with dogs, reflecting his fondness for animals.

Personal life
Sahdev’s father, Gudi Dirdo, works as a farmer. His mother passed away; her name is not recorded in the available information. He has siblings named Aayate and Bhima (brothers) and Lakshmi, Deepika and Prava (sisters). He is unmarried.

Interests and preferences
Away from music, Sahdev enjoys playing cricket and video games. His favorite food includes poha, and he describes himself as non-vegetarian. Musically, he has cited artists such as J Balvin and Aaru Sahu as favorites and identifies the rapper Badshah among his influences. In interviews he has said he aspires to be either a singer or a sportsperson when he grows up.

Injuries and support
In December 2021 Sahdev was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident while returning to his village with his father. He reportedly sustained a head injury after falling from the motorcycle without a helmet. He was initially treated at Sukma District Hospital and later transferred to Jagdalpur Medical College for further care. News of his condition was shared on social media by Badshah, who reported staying in contact with Sahdev’s family and friends. Local officials, including Sukma’s collector, visited and arranged for continued medical support.

Latest updates
By mid-to-late 2021 Sahdev had moved from a viral school performance to collaborative studio work and television appearances. He continued to post content on Instagram and YouTube and remained under the management of Barcode Entertainment. He has also received offers of educational support and public recognition following his rise to fame.

Sahdev’s story highlights how a single captured moment can open opportunities for a young performer from a rural background, while also bringing public attention and support during personal hardship.
