Sahil completed a diploma in pharmacy at Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) in Greater Noida and also has ties to the University of Delhi through further studies. Physically, he is described as approximately 170 cm tall (about 5'7") and weighing around 60 kg, with black hair and black eyes. His zodiac sign is Pisces and he holds Indian nationality.

Career

Prior to the events that brought him into the national spotlight, Sahil was associated with a small roadside eatery in his native village. He owned a dhaba called Khao Piyo Dhaba in Mitraon, Najafgarh. Details in the available material focus primarily on his personal relationships and the criminal investigation, rather than on professional accomplishments beyond ownership of the dhaba.

Personal life and relationships

Sahil became close to Nikki Yadav in 2018 when they were travelling to different tuition centres on the same bus. They developed a relationship over the following years and are reported to have been together for nearly four years. The couple married at an Arya Samaj temple in Greater Noida on 1 October 2020. Sources indicate they studied at Galgotias College, where Nikki pursued an MA in English and Sahil studied pharmacy.

In late 2022 and early 2023, Sahil’s family arranged his engagement and a subsequent marriage to a woman of their choice. Reports state that he exchanged rings on 9 February 2023 and wed the next day. Accounts in the excerpt say Nikki was not aware of these arrangements beforehand and that tensions developed between her and Sahil as a result.

Public profile

Sahil became the subject of major police investigation in February 2023 after the disappearance and death of Nikki Yadav. According to the information in the excerpt, police received a tip that led them to Sahil’s dhaba in Mitraon, and he was arrested on 15 February 2023 from a nearby area in Delhi. During official interrogation, Sahil reportedly confessed to taking responsibility for Nikki’s death and accompanied investigators to the location where her body was later recovered from a refrigerator at the dhaba.

Authorities charged Sahil under Indian Penal Code sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence). The investigative narrative in the excerpt describes a sequence of events on 10 February 2023 in which a confrontation occurred between Sahil and Nikki; following that altercation, she was found to have been killed. Investigators say evidence was removed from Nikki’s phone and that Sahil returned to the dhaba after his own wedding ceremonies.
