Saloni Batra was born in Delhi and grew up there. Her father is Rattan Tilakraj Batra, who has worked as a chef, and her mother is Ranjana Batra, described as a homemaker. She has a brother named Karan Batra. Saloni completed her higher education at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Chennai, where she specialised in fashion accessories.

Career

Saloni began her career in the creative and performance world after finishing college. She initially worked as a model and also spent time in styling; early in her professional life she worked under a designer and later as a head designer with Malini Agarwal in Malaga. Alongside this, she cultivated a long-running involvement in theatre, which became an entry point to screen acting despite her not having formal acting schooling.

In 2020 she played Sanobar Brar in the crime drama Taish, released on ZEE5, sharing screen space with a cast that included Pulkit Samrat, Jim Sarbh, Harshvardhan Rane, Kriti Kharbanda, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. She was part of the ensemble of 200: Halla Ho (2021), also released on ZEE5, and later portrayed Geeta Mathur in The Knot (2021).

In 2023 Saloni appeared as Reet Singh Malhotra in the film Animal. Alongside her film and streaming work, she has been involved in sketch videos on YouTube and has featured in television commercials for prominent brands.
