Samrat Choudhary was born on 16 November 1968 in Lakhanpur, Bihar. He comes from a political family: his father, Shakuni Choudhary, served in the army and was active in politics, and his mother, Parvati Devi, was also involved in public life until her death in September 2022. Samrat is one of five siblings and grew up in the same hometown of Lakhanpur.
