Sana Ganguly was born on 3 November 2001 in Behala, Kolkata, West Bengal. Raised in a Bengali family, she grew up with strong ties to classical dance and music through her mother, Dona Ganguly. Sana completed her schooling in Kolkata, attending La Martiniere for Girls and Loreto House School before moving to England for higher studies.

Sana also trained in Indian classical music under Kaushiki Chakraborty and took to Odissi dancing at an early age. Her first recorded stage appearance came when she was seven, playing the role of Krishna in a dance drama titled "Krishna." These early experiences anchored her interest in performance and the classical arts.
