Early life and background

Sanjana Anand was born on 28 March 1995 in Bangalore, India. Raised in the city she still lists as her hometown, she completed a bachelor's degree in computer engineering at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology in Bengaluru. After finishing her studies she worked as a software engineer at Dell EMC in Bangalore before moving into the entertainment industry.

Career

Anand made her film debut in the Kannada industry in 2019 with Chemistry of Kariyappa, in which she played the role of Chitra. The same year she appeared in Male Billu. Over the following years she continued to build a filmography across Kannada and Telugu cinema, with appearances in Salaga (2021), Shokiwala (2022), Window Seat (2022) and the Telugu film Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini (2022) in which she portrayed Theju.

Her work expanded beyond feature films into streaming content and music. In 2022 she appeared in the Kannada web series Honeymoon as Tejaswini; the series was made available on Voot Select (Kannada) and Aha (Telugu). In 2023 she was featured in the Kannada song "Dash Song" from the film Suthradaari, and she also acted in the Telugu film Full Bottle (2023).
