Sanjeeda Sheikh was born on 20 December 1984 in Kuwait City and grew up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She holds Indian nationality and completed a Bachelor of Arts. Sanjeeda comes from a Muslim family; her mother’s name is Anisa Shaikh and she has a younger brother, Anas Shaikh. Her father is deceased.

Career

Sanjeeda began her professional life in the entertainment industry as a choreographer before transitioning to acting. Her on-screen debut in Hindi cinema came with a small role in the 2003 film Baghban. In the years that followed she expanded into multiple regional film industries, appearing in Tamil, Kannada and Punjabi films as well as several Hindi projects.

On television she rose to wider recognition with Hindi serial roles such as Nimmo in Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa and notable appearances in series including Kayamath, Ek Hasina Thi, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Love Ka Hai Intezaar and Kumkum Bhagya. She has also worked behind the scenes as a choreographer for television, including on Love Ka Hai Intezaar.

Sanjeeda has taken part in and won dance reality shows. In 2007 she and partner Aamir Ali won Nach Baliye Season 3, and she later won Zara Nachke Dikha Season 2.
