Early life and background
Sanket Upadhyay was born on 16 July 1982 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He grew up in Ayodhya and completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, Noida. He went on to study at Delhi University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism between 2000 and 2003. After finishing his studies, Sanket began his professional journey in journalism as a staff writer at the Hindustan Times, where he worked from August 2003 until August 2005. He then joined NDTV as a correspondent in August 2005 and remained with the channel until October 2007.
