Sapna Chauhan was born on 10 March 1999 in Ropa village, Padhar tehsil, in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Raised in Mandi, she attended Government Senior Secondary School there. Her parents are Heera Lal Chauhan, who runs a cement shop, and Nirmla Devi. She has two elder siblings, a brother named Bobby Chauhan and a sister named Shakuntla Chauhan.

Career

Sapna began her public career as a dancer and model appearing in Himachali music videos. Her earliest credited work includes the Himachali music video Phoola Deyie (2017) by Inder Jeet. Over the next few years she featured in regional releases such as Laadi Shaoniye (2018, Inder Jeet), and 2019 songs including Shilpa Shimle Waliye (Kuldeep Sharma) and Bangdiyan (Sunil Mastie & Sheetal Arora).
