Career

Sapna started appearing on screen in regional productions and made her film debut in the Bhojpuri feature Kaashi Amarnath (2017), in which she played the role of Nandini. The film marked the beginning of her work in Bhojpuri cinema, and she subsequently performed in item song sequences for films including Nirahua Chalal London (2019) and Gathbandhan Pyar Ke (2022). In 2021 she appeared in the Bhojpuri film Mera Watan alongside lead actor Pawan Singh.

Before and alongside her film work, Sapna took part in television: in 2016 she portrayed the goddess Durga on the Hindi TV show Baal Krishna. She has also modeled for print campaigns and appeared as a guest at events such as the regional dance competition Dance Battle in 2019. Sapna took part in the celebrity cricket league season 3 in 2018.

Beyond acting and modeling, Sapna built a following on short-form video platforms. She began creating videos on Musical.ly (TikTok) in 2017 and later made reels on Instagram. Her presence on social media led to appearances in several music videos across languages — examples include the Hindi song “Basera” (2020), Bhojpuri singles such as “Chhoda Na E Raja” (2021), the Hindi release “Dil Tune Toda Hai” (2021), and the Punjabi track “Jatti Naal Hougi” (2022).

Controversy

In February 2023 Sapna was named in a police complaint related to an altercation involving the cricketer Prithvi Shaw. The complaint, filed at a Mumbai police station, alleged that after an exchange over photographs at a hotel, a group including Sapna chased and intercepted Shaw’s car and that the vehicle’s windshield was damaged. The complaint also led to Sapna’s arrest following the incident.

Latest updates

Sapna continues to be active on social platforms and in regional entertainment projects, appearing in music videos through 2022 and remaining involved in Bhojpuri film work. Public reporting in 2023 covered her involvement in the legal matter connected to the Prithvi Shaw incident.
