Savi Kahlon was born on 2 May 1993 in Amritsar, Punjab. Raised in that city, he completed his schooling at Police DAV Public School, Amritsar, and went on to study for a B.B.A. at Chitkara University in Chandigarh from 2012 to 2015. He comes from a family that includes his father Jagdish Singh, three brothers—Atinder Pal Singh Kahlon, Yuvi Kahlon and Manbir Singh Kahlon—and a sister, Manpinder Bhullar.

Career

Kahlon works across several creative disciplines: he is known as a singer, director, writer, photographer, lyricist and editor. His recorded output began to appear in the early 2010s. In 2013 he released a number of tracks under Young Ministry productions, and in 2015 he released the song "Bewafaa." The following year his song "Jahaaz Udna," featuring Kunwar Bawa, was released through Taran Singh Music.

He continued to release music through the late 2010s and into the 2020s. A music video titled "Hide" from 2019 is among the works cited in his profile. In 2020 he issued the songs "Dil Taa Punjab Aa" and "Putt Jattan De." The releases kept coming in subsequent years: in 2021 he released "Maa" and "Ammiye," in 2022 he released "Don't Worry Dad," "Gutt," and "Dollar," and in 2023 he released "Long Distant to Live" and "Putt Di Chadhai."

Alongside his music, Kahlon pursues professional photography. He owns a photography studio in New Zealand and relocated from India to New Lynn, New Zealand in 2017 before later moving to Gisborne.
