Schauna Chauhan was born on 2 August 1977 in Mumbai. Raised in a family connected to the food and beverage industry, she grew up visiting her father’s bottling plants and developed an early interest in joining the family business. She completed her schooling at Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in International Management from Business School Lausanne in Switzerland.

Career

Shortly after finishing her studies, Schauna joined her family’s business in 1999 as an executive director at around 22 years of age. She took on the role of chief executive officer of Parle Agro in 2006. Under her leadership the company moved to expand manufacturing capacity and adopt automation to improve efficiency and control costs.
