Early life and backgroundShipra Khanna was born on 18 November 1981 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. She grew up in a family that ran a jewellery business in Shimla; her father Balween Khanna and her brother Akshay Khanna are associated with that showroom. Shipra attended Loreto Convent School in Upper Kaithu and later studied at St. Bede's College, Shimla. She completed a graduation in Economics and Psychology.
