Mentored by her father, former racer BS Pruthvi, she started training on makeshift courses and quickly moved into competition. Her first autocross event was held in Kochi in 2018. She became a member of Ahura Racing, India’s all‑women racing team, and took part in events such as Volkswagen Motorsport India’s Ameo Cup.

Across rallies and circuit events, Shivani has accumulated multiple podium finishes. She won the women’s category of the Mahindra Monsoon Challenge in 2018 and earned the Best Lady Driver award at the 2019 Mysuru Dasara Gravel Fest.
