He grew up in the city where he attended Summer Fields School and later pursued higher education at Skyline Business School, earning a B.Com degree. Raised by parents Girish Narang, a businessman, and Suman Narang, Shivin was the only child in his family.
Sports were an important part of his youth. He served as sports captain in school and represented Delhi at national-level shooting championships while in college. Though his parents hoped he would join the family business, Shivin developed interests that would eventually lead him away from that path.
Career
Shivin began his career as a model before moving into acting. His entry into television came after his college photographs attracted attention from a creative team; that led to auditions in Mumbai and his first lead role. He made his TV debut as Yuvraj “Yuvi” Singh in Suvreen Guggal - Topper of the Year, a part that brought him early recognition.
He went on to become a household name through the role of Ranvijay Singh in the long-running serial Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera in 2013. Although he initially hesitated to join the show because it was a family drama, he accepted the role after encouragement from his mother.
Shivin has also taken on projects beyond family dramas. He appeared in Cahaya Cinta Season 2 but had to step away when his father suffered kidney failure, prompting a career break of over a year. In 2016 he was cast as the lead in the youth-oriented film Dheet Patangey, a project that experienced delays. In 2019 he joined the cast of the romantic drama thriller Beyhadh 2 as Rudra Roy and that same year featured in the music video Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi alongside Abhimanyu Tomar and Divya Khosla Kumar.
Outside of scripted television and music videos, Shivin received an offer to participate in Bigg Boss 13 in 2019, which he declined for personal reasons.
