Shivraj Singh Chouhan was born on 5 March 1959 in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, into a family with agricultural roots. He grew up in the region and later completed a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, where he was recognized as a gold medalist.
