Shruti Ragunathan is from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She attended Vidhya Niketan Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Vilankurichi, Coimbatore, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from PSG College of Arts and Science. She later completed a master’s in fashion management at the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

Shruti’s career has been rooted in the fashion and retail sector, with roles spanning internships and corporate positions. In mid-2020 she began a three-month placement as a business development intern with a company called Textile Value Chain. Later that year she joined Lifestyle International Pvt. Ltd., first as a visual merchandising intern and then as a marketing intern in Bengaluru.
