Shura Khan was born Shoora Zahid Khan on 18 January 1990 in Mumbai. Raised in the same city, she is Indian by nationality and is identified with the Islamic faith. Her parents are Zahid Khan and Mehjabeen Zahid Khan; her mother has worked as an aromatherapist and cosmetologist.

Career

Shura built a career as a professional makeup artist based in Mumbai. Over several years she worked closely with established Bollywood personalities, including a lengthy professional association with actress Raveena Tandon and Tandon’s daughter. That relationship extended for around seven to eight years, during which time Shura established herself in the industry and worked on film sets and with celebrity clients.

In 2013 Shura founded Shura Leisure Private Limited. Through that company, in 2018 she and partner Sumit Singhania, together with her mother, launched The Thai Villa Spa in Mumbai. The spa was inaugurated in 2018 by Raveena Tandon and operated under the company’s banner.

Shura Khan and Sumit Singhania were charged under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act in connection with the case. Items recovered during the investigation included cash, documents, electronic equipment, condoms, voucher books and other material reportedly linked to the operation.

Shura married Arbaaz Khan, who had previously been married to Malaika Arora and is the father of a son, Arhaan Khan. Reports note an age difference of 22 years between Shura and Arbaaz.
