Early life and background
Siddharth Randeria was born on 17 December 1955 in Bombay (now Mumbai), in what was then the State of Bombay. He grew up in Mumbai in a middle-class Gujarati family and was introduced to theatre at an early age by his father, Madhukar Randeria, a noted professor and a contributor to modern Gujarati theatre who authored multiple Gujarati books.
