Simran Kaur Mundi was born on 13 September 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and comes from a family with roots in Mundian Jattan, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. She grew up attending schools in Madhya Pradesh, including Delhi Public School and Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya in Gwalior, and later studied at Holkar College of Science, Indore, where she completed a degree in biotechnology.

After finishing her education, Simran moved to Mumbai and took a job as a guest relations executive at Fame Cinemas in Andheri.
