Raised in the city she still considers her hometown, she displayed an active curiosity about learning from an early age. Her parents are Rajesh Khosla, a businessman, and Jyoti Khosla, who is associated with the Indian Legal Association in Uttar Pradesh. She has two siblings: a brother, Aayush Khosla, and a sister, Tanima Khosla, who works as a fashion stylist and content manager.
Khosla originally explored academic paths outside fitness. After school she attempted law entrance exams and later enrolled in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) program, clearing the first level. Difficulties during articleship and an unsatisfactory experience led her to step away from the CA route, even while she remained a CFA Level II candidate.
Career
Simran Khosla's professional identity centers on fitness and nutrition. She trained as a nutritionist and expanded her skill set to include roles as a Zumba instructor, workout trainer and lifestyle coach. Gym training played a pivotal role in her personal recovery from a period of depression, and it became the foundation for a career helping others improve their health and fitness.
In April 2016 she launched Butt Like An Apricot (BLAP), a fitness company that has grown to serve clients across many countries. By March 2023 BLAP reported more than 3,000 clients in 33 countries. In 2023 she formalised the business by registering it as BLAP Global Fitness Private Limited.
