Early life and background
Sneha Deepthi Rama Krishna Vootala was born on 10 September 1996 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Raised in a family where her father played gully cricket, she only began showing interest in the sport after accompanying him and her brother to games as a child. Sneha joined a summer cricket coaching camp in 2003 and attended regular coaching from fourth standard onward. Her father trained her until 2007, and in 2008 she and her sister enrolled in the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) camp, where coaches quickly spotted her batting potential.

Career
Sneha is a right-handed batter who also bowls right-arm off break. She progressed rapidly through Andhra’s youth and senior teams, earning selection to the U-19s and the senior Andhra side within her first year at ACA. Her domestic performances included several standout innings: in 2013 she became the first woman from Andhra to score a double century, remaining unbeaten on 203 in a senior inter-district match; in 2015 she compiled 350 in an ACA North Zone inter-district tournament, the highest individual score by a women cricketer under the ACA at that time.

Her domestic form led to an international call-up in 2013. Sneha made her T20 international debut on 2 April 2013 against Bangladesh and her ODI debut followed on 12 April 2013 in Ahmedabad. At the time of her ODI debut she was 16 years and 204 days old, making her one of India’s youngest women internationals. She wore jersey number 77 when representing the national side.

After her early international exposure Sneha continued to build her domestic career. In 2016 she joined South Central Railways, became a key player there, and was later selected for the Railways women’s team. Following her marriage in October 2019 she took an extended break from the game for nearly two years. She returned to training with the ACA and her childhood coach Janapareddy Krishna Rao in 2021 and rejoined the Andhra women’s team, captaining the side later that year.

Sneha captained the South Zone team in the Senior Women Interzonal T20 tournament in 2022 and also featured in the inaugural ACA women’s T20 Andhra Premier League the same year, where she played for the Vizianagaram Royals and scored 45 in the final. In 2023 she was bought by the Delhi Capitals for the Women’s Premier League.
