Early life and background

Snehith Gowda was born on 19 August 1995 in Bengaluru (then Bangalore), Karnataka. Raised in a family with roots in Bhadravathi on his father’s side and Mandya on his mother’s, he attended St Claret School in Bengaluru before moving on to Presidency College, Bengaluru. His father, Maayathere Suresh, is a Kannada film producer and owner of Maayathere Combines; his mother is a homemaker. He is also related to Kannada actress Nabha Natesh, who is his cousin.

Snehith stands about 1.78 m (5'10") tall and is listed at roughly 75 kg (165 lbs). His reported body measurements include a 42‑inch chest, 32‑inch waist and 15‑inch biceps. Career

Gowda’s performance background began in college theatre. Over several years he appeared in more than 100 stage plays across multiple languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Urdu and Punjabi. Some of the stage productions he performed in are Tipu Sultan Ki Khwab, Ek Sunehra Bagicha, Jisne Lahore Nai Dekhya, Ek Ant Ki Shuruvat and Shaadi ki Kirkiri.

His screen debut came in 2016 with the film Chiravada Nenapu, in which he appeared as a college student. He later expanded into television and became known for the role of Pranam Rajguru in the Kannada serial Nammane Yuvarani, a part that brought him greater recognition in 2022.

In 2021 it was announced that he would portray a serial killer in Aravind Kaushik’s film Gone Case. For that role he took the unusual step of adopting smoking on screen despite normally refraining from smoking and drinking.

Gowda has also worked in advertising and modelling. He shot a commercial for Bengaluru FC in 2018 and has modelled for various brands.

In 2023 Snehith joined the cast of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 as a contestant. The season was broadcast on Colors Kannada and streamed on Jio Cinema, with Kiccha Sudeep hosting. His participation on the reality show increased his visibility across the Kannada audience.
