Sonnalli Seygall was born on 1 May 1989 in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, and grew up in a family that later settled with her mother in Mumbai. She attended schools in Kolkata, including South Point High School and St. Thomas’ Girls School, and went on to study English honours at Bhowanipore College. Her mother, Nishi Sehgal, has worked as an Associate Vice President at SREI in Mumbai, and her father retired from the Indian Army. Sonnalli also has a brother, Ayush Sehgal.

Career

Sonnalli began her public career in the world of beauty pageants. In 2006 she won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India International title and went on to represent India at the Miss International contest, where she finished among the top twelve contestants. That early exposure helped her transition into modelling and commercial work.

Her screen debut came as a television host on the reality show Dadagiri in 2008. Following television presenting and extensive modelling assignments, she moved into films. Sonnalli is widely recognised for her role as Rhea in the 2011 Bollywood film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Her film credits also include Wedding Pullav (2015), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), and Jai Mummy Di (2020). On television, she appeared in the series Salute Siachen in 2017.
