Early life and background

Srishti Dixit was born and raised in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The licensed information lists her year of birth as 1993 and notes that she completed a degree in English Literature at Miranda House in Delhi. She is described as an Indian national and, as of 2020, was 27 years old.

Career

After finishing college, Dixit began her professional life in entertainment journalism. She worked at Bollywood Life for nearly three years before moving to BuzzFeed, where she served as a Bollywood content writer. At BuzzFeed she transitioned in front of the camera as well as behind it, appearing in several of the outlet's YouTube productions.

Her appearances for BuzzFeed include comedic sketches that play on popular film and television tropes. Examples cited in the licensed material include sketches imagining characters such as Geet from Jab We Met, Crime Master Gogo, and a spoof on Bigg Boss. Those early videos helped build her visibility as a comic performer on digital platforms.

Dixit continued to work in online comedy beyond BuzzFeed, taking part in other web productions. She appeared in episodes of On Air with AIB in 2015 and in Break a Leg in 2018. One of her own YouTube videos, a 2017 sketch titled "If You Acted Like Poo In Real Life," is singled out as a breakout moment that brought her widespread attention.

In 2019 she joined the cast of Behensplainling, a series for Netflix, sharing credits with creator and performer Kusha Kapila. The licensed information lists her profession as actor and writer, reflecting both her on-screen work and her background in content creation and writing.

Public profile

Physically, the available data lists Dixit's height as about 170 cm (1.70 m or 5'7"), with black hair and black eyes. Personal details included in the licensed excerpt note that she is unmarried and that public-facing information about romantic relationships is not provided.

Latest updates

The licensed excerpt identifies several recent credits through 2019, including Break a Leg (2018) and the Netflix series Behensplainling (2019). It also emphasizes that a 2017 YouTube sketch was a significant point in her rise to greater popularity.

Throughout her career she has been associated with contemporary Indian digital comedy and has moved from journalism and content writing into acting and on-camera sketch work. That combination of skills—writing for entertainment outlets and performing in comedic sketches—has been central to her public profile.

Personal tastes and miscellany

Among a few personal preferences included in the licensed material, Dixit lists a modeling figure she admires (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) and musical tastes that include songs and singers she favors.
