Sruthi Shanmuga Priya was born on 2 January 1993 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Raised as an only child by her parents Ravichandran and Surya Ravi, she attended GRG Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore before moving on to higher studies at Hindusthan College in the same city. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Master in Computer Applications and a Master of International Business. She also earned a B1 diploma in French from Alliance Française de Madras.

Career

Sruthi began her on-screen career while still a student, gaining recognition in Tamil television. She appeared in a number of serials over the years, including a role as Ragini Guhan in Nadhaswaram, Pavithra Saravanan in Vani Rani (2013), Subbulakshmi in Kalyana Parisu (2014), Shruthi in Bharathi Kannamma (2019) and Prabha in Bommukutty Ammavukku (2020). Her first appearance in Tamil cinema came in 2016 with a role in Kodi, in which she played Malathi's sister.
