Early life and background

Subhashree Rayaguru was born on 15 July 1997 in Balangir, Odisha. She grew up in Odisha and later made Mumbai her hometown. From an early age she balanced academics with sports and cultural activities, competing regionally in kho-kho and at the district level in badminton and cricket.

She completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 in Balangir and went on to study law at KC Law College, University of Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Alongside her formal education she pursued performing arts training, attending the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune and the Actor Prepares course in Mumbai. She also received dance training from the Shiamak Davar Institute.

Career

Subhashree began her public career as a model while still in college, working with local and national clothing labels and appearing in television commercials for brands such as Azar, Chicnutrix and Sephora. She has walked in fashion shows, including serving as a showstopper for the Hi Life Brides Expo in 2021, and in 2020 she won the title VLCC Femina Miss India Odisha.

Parallel to modelling, she built a profile as an anchor and presenter, hosting more than 3,000 live shows and working with agencies and event partners in Mumbai. Her on-screen work expanded into acting, with small roles in earlier films and more prominent parts from 2022 onward. Her credited film debut in Telugu was Rudraveena (2022), and she also appeared in the Tamil film Devil (2022). Following that year she featured in several Telugu productions including Katha Venuka Katha (2023), Amigos (2023) and Snadeham (2023). Earlier appearances include small roles in the Telugu film Aa (2016) and the Tamil film Utraan (2019).

Her industry experience extends behind the camera as well; she worked as an assistant director on the Hindi film Mastizaade (2016). In 2021 she enrolled with the Bar Council of Telangana and, as of 29 July 2023, began practising at the High Court of Judicature in Hyderabad, combining her legal credentials with her entertainment career.
