Suhana Khan Biography

Suhana Khan is an Indian actress, theatre artist and social media personality from Mumbai. Daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, she trained in drama,

Early life and background

Suhana Khan was born on 22 May 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in the city she still calls home, she attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School before continuing her education overseas at Ardingly College in England. Later she studied acting and drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Growing up in a family with a Muslim father and a Hindu mother, Suhana has described her identity in broad, national terms through family interviews that emphasise being Indian.

From a young age she was active in sports and co-curricular activities. She captained her school’s under-14 girls’ football team and took part in drama and other creative pursuits. While at Ardingly College and later at Tisch, she appeared in numerous theatre productions and received recognition for her contribution to drama, including the Russel Cup at her graduation from Ardingly.

Career

Suhana’s early screen work includes the 2019 short film The Grey Part of Blue, in which she appeared in a ten-minute story about a teenager’s experience of unrequited love. Her stage work continued through college and at Tisch, where she performed in multiple theatrical productions and further developed her craft.

In 2022 she was cast as Veronica Lodge in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film The Archies, which released in 2023. That role marked her feature-film debut on a major streaming platform. In April 2023 she signed her first brand endorsement as the face of Maybelline.

Public profile

Suhana is often described in the media as a theatre artist, actress and social media personality. She has been photographed and covered for fashion and lifestyle features, including appearing on the cover of Vogue in 2018. Her public image balances an interest in fashion and luxury items with hobbies such as dancing—she has trained in pop-style dance and performed in projects associated with Shiamak Davar’s Summer Funk show—and a love of travel and story writing. She has said that moving away from home at 16 was an important step for her personal growth and confidence.

Her social circle includes friendships with fellow star kids and actresses. She enjoys football and frequently accompanies her father to IPL matches. She is a cat lover, has written stories (winning an award at the Katha National Story Writing Competition in 2012), and lists Italian cuisine and grilled fish among her favourites.

Latest updates

Her casting as Veronica in The Archies and the Maybelline endorsement in 2023 are current highlights of Suhana’s early career. Property transactions reported in 2023 and 2024 indicate family investments in agricultural and farmland in the Alibaug area. As she continues to train and perform, Suhana remains active in theatre while building her on-screen resume.
