Suhani Shah Biography

Suhani Shah is an Indian magician, hypnotherapist and author from Udaipur. Starting performances as a child, she has built a career spanning stage shows,講s

Early life and background
Suhani Shah was born on 29 January 1990 in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Raised in a family that supported her unusual childhood passion, she began performing magic at age seven, giving her first show on her birthday. Her father, Chandra Kant Shah, worked as a fitness consultant and personal trainer, and her mother is Snehlata Shah. Suhani also has an elder brother.

As a young performer she left formal schooling and was homeschooled to accommodate frequent shows within India and abroad. Learning English independently was part of her effort to grow beyond the limits of her early training and public appearances.

Career
Suhani Shah developed from a child performer into a professional magician who has worked onstage for more than two decades. She is frequently described as India’s first female magician and has travelled internationally to perform, speak at conferences and train other magicians.

Her stage work grew to include public talks and workshops on the psychology behind belief, superstition and human behaviour. Those interests led her to study hypnotherapy professionally. She now practices as a hypnotherapist and founded Suhani Mindcare, a centre focused on therapies to support people dealing with addictions such as alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

Suhani is also an author; the excerpt notes that she has written five books. One of her projects grew out of her encounters with audiences who attributed supernatural causes to tricks and behaviours, and she chose to record her observations about psychological assessment and belief in book form.

Public profile
Suhani has been invited to give several TEDx talks and has used those platforms to combine performance with discussions about the mind and superstition. She also maintains an active digital presence: she runs a YouTube channel where she posts collaboration videos with comedians and other magicians, often featuring live streams and trick demonstrations. The excerpt mentions a collaboration with comedian Biswaprakash (posted in April 2020) as an example of the content she shares online.

In addition to her work, Suhani is a licensed scuba diver and an animal lover. She keeps two pet dogs, a golden retriever named Steve and a husky named Xyro. Physically, she is described as approximately 164 cm tall, with black eyes and brown hair.

Suhani continues to perform, speak and run workshops while operating Suhani Mindcare.
